Bansko is Bulgaria’s premier ski resort and a UNESCO-listed historic town. Situated at 925 m in the Pirin Mountains, it combines modern ski infrastructure with authentic Bulgarian Revival architecture, cobblestone streets, and a famous mehana dining scene.

The ski area covers 75 km of groomed runs from 990 m to 2,600 m, served by a modern gondola and 13 chairlifts. The season runs December to April. Bansko’s ski runs are linked to the town centre via the Banderitsa gondola.
Summer in Bansko
Summer transforms Bansko into a hiking and cycling hub with access to Pirin National Park (UNESCO), Tevno Lake, and Vihren Peak (2,914 m). The Bansko Jazz Festival in August is one of Bulgaria’s most prestigious cultural events.
