The city centre (around Vitosha Boulevard and NDK) has the best selection of business hotels and boutique stays. The Lozenets neighbourhood offers quieter residential areas popular with longer stays. Most attractions are within walking distance of the centre.
Day Trips from Sofia
Sofia is a 90-minute drive from Bansko, making it feasible for ski day trips. Rila Monastery (UNESCO) is 120 km south. Vitosha mountain is accessible by metro — ski runs are operational on weekends in winter.
