Beaches Near Varna
The Varna city beach is walkable from most hotels. Golden Sands is 17 km north and one of Bulgaria’s most developed beach resorts. Albena (35 km) is eco-certified and popular with families. Sunny Day is a quieter option 5 km from the city.
City Highlights
The Sea Garden is a beautiful 8 km park running along the coastline. The Archaeological Museum houses the Varna Gold — the oldest processed gold in the world (5,000 BC). The Roman thermae (baths) in the city centre are the fourth-largest Roman baths in Europe.
