Pamporovo is Bulgaria’s southernmost ski resort, nestled in the Rhodope Mountains at 1,650 m. With a guaranteed snow season from December to March, tree-lined runs, and a compact layout, it’s ideal for families and beginners. Less crowded than Bansko or Borovets.
The Resort
The ski area has 25 km of runs served by 8 lifts, with the highest point at 1,937 m (Snezhanka Peak). The Pamporovo plateau gets excellent natural snowfall due to its Rhodope location. In summer the area is a great base for Rhodope mountain hiking.
